Interior Design Trend: Grey, the New Neutral
Looking for a neutral tone, but want something a little
different than the usual browns? Try a nice grey. With so many shades – from a
dark and dramatic to soft and serene – grey is the perfect color for a fun new
home makeover.
Here are 5 examples of the cool
new shade in use:
The newest Kelly Tivey Interior Design project, shows
an urban-chic mix of dark and light grays, mixed with dark hardwood and quartz
slabs in kitchen for a bold contrast.
A great example of
gray and silver shades cohabiting with different shades of wood, and greenery. Surprising to some, but this color looks
great in eclectic-inspired spaces!
If you’re looking to update your home and want a sleek and beautiful color, using a light grey as your primary color will give your home a clean,
timeless look – plus it’s a fantastic alternative to the usual beige.
If you do want to
give your room more of that “edgy” vibe, go for a darker grey with some boldly
colored statement pieces. Grey’s allow for your accessories to take center
stage and can give your home a contemporary feel.
Love the modern twist
on this old barn-style home. If you aren’t completely ready to forgo the beige, the two colors can live together in harmony.
